Before the turn of the millennium, handball also existed in CSIT. Kurt always worked hard to make sure that this world sport also gained a foothold in CSIT. In this regard, Kurt was in Vienna only a year ago with Secretary General Burghardt at the EHF President Michael Wiederer to discuss strategies for establishing handball in the CSIT again. Only in January 2020, after 40 years with CSIT member ASKÖ, Kurt resigned from his office as commissioner for handball.

Hardly anyone has put more time, more interest and more passion into his work. After his time as an active player (national team), Kurt also worked as a junior national coach and co-coach of the men's national team and did everything to strengthen handball in the long term. We thank Kurt very much for the many years of the common way. His successors will find it difficult to follow in his footsteps.
