Mr. Egea has an extensive experience in sports management being the IFBT Vice-President for the last ten years, founder and President of the Catalan Beach Tennis Association (Spain), and has collaborated to promote the sport of Beach Tennis under the CSIT. In this new stage newly minted President has nominated a new Executive Committee that he would like to expand incorporating new members in the next months. “It is an honor for me to assume the IFBT Presidentship. I would like to thank President Bellettini for all the support and confidence he has given me over the last years”.

"We’d like to express our respect and gratitude to our founder Dr. Giandomenico Bellettini who has been our President for 25 years and from now on will be awarded the title of Honorary President. I’m grateful for the efforts and dedication of all IFBT members in developing beach tennis and our Federation, and I’d like to encourage them to keep working with the same passion for the benefit of our beloved sport. Keeping a long view, we’ve created new statutes converting IFBT to an organization with international projection, and the city of Barcelona in Catalonia (Spain) the IFBT headquarters. We currently have 32 members worldwide and we are optimistic about increasing them in the future. One of the targets of IFBT for the next two years is to be part of the most important international organizations, and from the Executive Committee we’ll do everything possible to achieve this."
