In 2020 the big jubilee festival 30 years Bulgarian Workers' Federation "Sport and Health" should have taken place. Unfortunately, due to the global Corona pandemic, this festival could not be held. Like any other sports organisation, BWF was forced to cancel most of its activities to protect the health of staff and participants. Now that COVID-19 vaccines are available, everyone hopes that the situation will improve very soon and that it will be possible to revive the tradition of the international sports festival in Bulgaria as well.

In the 30 years of its existence, the federation has established more than 30 regional sports clubs with the aim of popularising amateur sports among the active working population in Bulgaria. Throughout the years, BWF has organised numerous international, national and sectoral sports events and is one of the most reliable organisers of workers' sports competitions in the world. The trademark of the Bulgarian Workers' Federation "Sport and Health" is the annual International Workers' Sports Festival with more than 2,000 athletes from America, Asia, Africa and Europe. The festival has become a symbol of solidarity, tolerance, sportsmanship, friendship and fair play.

The 17th Workers' Sports Festival with international participation is now scheduled to take place from 23 to 27 June 2021 at the St Constantine and Helena Resort in Bulgaria, with competitions in 17 sports disciplines: mini football, volleyball, mamanet, bowling, basketball (streetball), swimming, tennis, table tennis, chess, bridge, darts, petanque, sports backgammon, kettlebell lifting, beach volleyball, tug of war and beach tennis. BWF guarantees that all competitions will be held in strict compliance with pandemic measures in accordance with the orders of the Bulgarian Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The health and good condition of our participants are the top priority and sport the best means to achieve them.
