INFOS on EFPM
„With great pleasure we will try to cover the distance and finally achieve the goal of 1275 km within the 100 days. Our slogan is „Fair Play – Cycling for the Movement “, Hinterberger mentioned. EFPM very much hopes that a lot of teams feel encouraged to be part of the mission and bring people together in motion. The celebration of the 2nd World Fair Play Day on September 7th in Budapest will highlight this project and strongly supports the promotion of Fair Play in sport. “Sport is able to change the world, inspires and unites people like nothing else”. This message of Nelson Mandela as our common spirit may accompany the teams.
SHARE your progress, SHARE your message of fair play!
This is all to mark the 2nd World Fair Play Day in Budapest (WFPD), and to encourage people to take on a physical activity despite the pandemic, the European Fair Play Movement in cooperation with ASKÖ (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Sport und Körperkultur in Austria), the Austrian EFPM member organization and KFP SOSV (Club fair play of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee) are launching the challenge “100 days for Fair Play”.
In preparation for the celebration of the second edition of World Fair Play Day, EFPM organized this interesting non-competitive "challenge", with the objective of accumulating kilometers by registering on the Strava platform. Who will manage to reach 1275 km, which is the distance between Brussels (where the first WFPD took place) and Budapest (2nd WFPD location). The challenge starts on May 31 and ends on September 7 but activities will be recorded from June 30, so registration is open until June 30!
WHO can participate in the challenge?
Anybody who wants to promote fair play and is ready to spread the message of fair play and actively engage in sports activities. Individuals or teams up to 5 members (symbolising the five Olympic Rings) can take part. Team members need to have a common identifier in their profile to track their progress as a Team. Each participant gets a diploma, the winning team a voucher for 500 EUR. It would be an additional nice gesture if the members of the teams could wear T-shirts/ sweatshirts in the color of the Olympic Rings (blue, black, red, yellow, green). The different teams should start their activities under a common spirit or message.
