While registrations for CSIT World Sports Games 2015 are about to close, thousands of participants from more than 30 different countries and 50 sport unions and associations have already registered to take part in the 14 Official Championships during the games as well as 40 unofficial demonstration sports with experienced leaders and coaches. The LIGNOC (organizing committee) will elaborate an exact time schedule for all official championships two week prior to the Games.
It is a high and prestigious award for CSIT: the World Sports Games 2015 have obtained the patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers which is normally reserved for high-relief initiatives cultural, social scientific, artistic or - as in this case - sports. The Italian Government confirms its attention to the world of sport, giving the CSIT Games 2015 a certificate that testifies to the work carried out so far by the organising committee and approved by the highest offices of state, which want to celebrate in this way the goals of the event.
CSIT President Harald Bauer used his presence at the Sport Accord Convention 2015 in Sochi to promote the CSIT World Sports Games among the highest representatives of the sports world. He saw a beautiful and blooming city on the coast of the Black Sea which offers modern sports facilities of best quality and equipment. "I can very well imagine to once organize our World Sports Games in this beautiful region. Next year the Sports Convention will take place again in Sochi and I will continue negotiating with the Russian sports leaders and the City government", president Bauer reported enthusiastic.
CSIT World Sports Games 2015 - 4th edition. Less than 40 days from now. On Monday 8th of June CSIT President Harald Bauer will open the 4th CSIT World Sports Games, which will be held in the city of Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, from 7th to 14th of June, 2015. The Games are hosted by Italian CSIT member organization AICS, Associazione Italiana Cultura e Sport.
The CSIT Congress 2015 in Lignano has decided to follow the initiative of HAPOEL to support the CTC - Central Trabjadores de Cuba, a member of COPADET (the continental member of CSIT). CSIT President Harald Bauer took the lead and the responsibility and visited the leadership of CTC in the cuban capital Havanna. He introduced the actual path of CSIT policy, as the cuban decision takers did not have contact with CSIT due to longterm economical reasons.
The CSIT ExCom awarded during its recent meeting in Tel Aviv/Israel CSIT member union LTSA (Latvian Sport for All Association) and the capital Riga to host the 5th edition of the CSIT World Sports Games to be held in June 2017. Second candidate Hapoel with the city of Eilat in Israel resigned from its candidature after the detailed evaluation report of the Working Group World Sports Games done by CSIT Sports Director Henk Bouchoms and Vice President Desislava Yagodin but announced to renew its candidacy for the CSIT WSG 2019 with brand new sports facilities, especially for swimming and athletics.
At the end of February the CSIT Executive Committee held its 10th meeting in Tel Aviv/Israel, a modern and pulsing city at the Mediterranean Sea. Thanks to CSIT member union HAPOEL in particular General Director Yoram Arnstein, CSIT Honorary Member Avigdor Dagon and coordinator Oded Nahaman for the arrangements and the very good organizing.
President Bauer had several meetings with members of the LIGNOC during their stay in Israel. LIGNOC - the Organizing Committee of the 4th CSIT World Sports Games (WSG) from June 7th to 14th June in Lignano, Italy, - reported positively and are motivated about the progress of the preparations for this major event. Also the CSIT ExCom was satisfied with the status quo and the promising number of registrations. These Games 2015 in Lignano seem to become the biggest CSIT World Sports Games since the reorganisation of the CSIT in the recent years.

Very successful was the CSIT World Men Basketball Championship organized by CSIT member organization INDET, celebrated in October in Cancun Mexico. The opening and closing ceremonies were amazing with the participation of local authorities and a big crowd with the participation of teams from Bulgaria, China, Italy, Israel, Letonia as well as three teams from Mexico.
Eilat in Israel hosted the CSIT Tennis Team Championship from 25th to 27th of October 2014. Due to tropical conditions the championship had to be played in the early morning hours and late afternoon, what gave the participants the possibility to enjoy the beautiful beaches on the red sea coast during the day. HAPOEL organized perfect championships in a beautiful Arena, which already was location for FED-Cup matches.
Eight months prior to the 4th CSIT World Sports Games from June 7-14, 2015 at the Northern Adriatic Coast in Lignano (ITA) CSIT held its 36th Congress in the host city, organized by Italian member union AICS. All matters concerning the preparation of the Games 2015 were discussed and finalized. CSIT technical commissions visited and checked the sports facilities and also hotels. CSIT WSG 2015 host union AICS is planning lots of side events for the games 2015. Lignano is internationally know as "Sports Town" and is the ideal place for adults, families and youth during next June. Besides sports the huge CSIT family can enjoy workshops for youngsters, international conferences, night social activities and animation as well as nightlife in one of the biggest summer holiday resorts on the Adriatic coast in Italy.

Lignano - Sabbiadoro is host of the CSIT Congress 2014 and the World Sports Games 2015. The preparations for the CSIT Congress week are almost completed. 150 member unions' representatives from all over the world have confirmed their participation from Oct. 13th - 19th.
CSIT Vice-president Sirpa Paatero from Finland member union TUL has been named as Finland's new Minister for International Development at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and responsible for matters under the mandate of the Prime Minister's Office. 20 specialists participated in the second Senior Formation Course in Brondby in Denmark. It all took place September 17-19 with DAI as host. It was three days of sharing ideas and learning activities that can be used for the seniors - a boarderless idea.
There is less than a year until the 4th CSIT World Sport Games from 7th to 14th June 2015 in Lignano, Italy. Lignano Organising Committee (LIGNOC) composed out of persons of AICS (host union), Sport & School Agency in Lignano and CSIT, scheduled an update-meeting in Lignano Sabbiadoro at the first weekend of August as preparation for the Games next June.
