Jorge Luis Alfaro, 53, once was the forerunner... or better... the forejumper of one of the greatest world athletes ever. The Cuban high jumper crossed 2,28 meters. His fellow countryman Javier Sotomayor completed the Cuban wonder by becoming the first man to cross the height of a football goal (2,44 m) in 1989. Sotomayors world record (2,45 m) from 1993 is still relevant today.

Olympic spirit - this is much more than just a phrase at the 4th CSIT World Sports Games in Lignano. Two pretty strong athletes can confirm that, because they definitely are able to compare:

The "roving reporter" Tamas Denes from Budapest provides an incomparable live video coverage for Italian and international media as well as for the convenience of all participants of the 4th CSIT World Sports Games.

Sheila Wilson from Indianapolis is the head of the Federation Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS). 26 professional chiropractors and 13 trainees from eight different countries - even from Australia - are working at the CSIT World Sports Games. Lignano 2015 is their first job for CSIT.

The conclusion of a high-profile panel discussion at the main media venue of the 4th CSIT World Sports Games in Lignano Sabbiadoro on Tuesday (June 9th): The biggest challenge for European sports is sports education. The amateur movement of CSIT, which considers "sports for all" as its basic principle, lay claim to accept this challenge.

Tuesday, June 9th - a brilliant first competition day at the 4th CSIT World Sports games in Lignano. A large part of the action took place at the Sabbiadoro beach: Dramatic volleyball matches, stand up paddling, wind surfing and canoeing in the northern Adriatic Sea, football, tennis and krolf (a combination of krocket and golf) in the pinewoods behind the beautiful sand dunes.

5000 athletes and coaches entered the Teghil Stadium in Lignano on Monday evening (June 8th) for the splendid opening ceremony of the 4th CSIT World Sports Games 2015. The teams of the 33 participating delegations enjoyed 33 degrees and bright sunshine.

It is not just a signature, it is a strong sign: A historical partnership contract beetween CSIT and Panathlon International has been signed on the day of the opening ceremony of the 4th CSIT World Sports Games in Lignano Sabbiadoro on Monday (June 8th).

4000 athletes and 1000 coaches and accompanying persons are going to turn Lignano Sabbiadoro from June 7^th to 14^th into a pulsating sports city and participate in the 4^th CSIT World Sports Games. All delegations from 33 different countries from all over the world, from Argentina to Cameroon, from Finland to the USA have already arrived – all of them in their national outfit. Portuguese and Belgian athletes were having fun on their first evening in Lignano because they had similar team shirts. The opening ceremony of the WSG2015 will take place on Monday afternoon 17.00 pm in the Stadium “Teghil” in Lignano Sabbiadoro.

4.000 athletes from 30 different countries will compete at the 4^th CSIT World Sports Games from 7^th to 14^th of June in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy. The participation of 4.000 athletes and 1.000 coaches, leaders and accompanying staff from 50 CSIT member unions, associations and clubs make the 4^th edition of these games for amateurs the biggest since the reorganisation of the CSIT in the recent years. 

The big number of athletes and participants in all the different disciplines and events, the character of open games for all amateur sports-athletes, also non-member organisations, partners, governmental bodies, trade unions and companies from all over the world combined with the history of the WSG proves that this event has "Olympic allures". An international sports week with lots of touristic and cultural contents, too!

The CSIT WSG2015 are hosted by Italian CSIT member AICS, Associazione Italiana Cultura e Sport. AICS is organizing 14 official CSIT championships, 21 demonstrative sports, 18 activities for 55+, 2 extra CSIT championships as well as international conferences and workshops; plus six days evening events on the beaches and in the centre of Lignano, opening and closing ceremony and the 1^st CSIT run.

For the first time during the WSG 2015 CSIT and organizing member union AICS will run the communication centre “Area Italia”, the meeting point for all participants used as information point, exhibition hall, culinary temple, starting point for excursions and touristic activities, transport office, rental office for cars and bikes. Also for the first time CSIT is offering chiropractic aid during the WSG.

7^th of May is the ultimate registration and payment deadline for the 4^th Games. Still one week is left to sign in for this multicultural event on the northern Adriatic coast. To guarantee an effective registration, AICS provides an on-line registration platform, which will guide and support through the fulfilling of the procedure.
