Riga, June 13, 20.15: “I declare the 5th CSIT World Sports Games in Riga officially open!” Historical words for the Latvian capital Riga; spoken by CSIT President Bruno Molea in the center of the football field in Skonto Stadium. It was the first official opening for the Italian after he had become the head of this international movement in October 2016. 

It is not only sports: The CSIT World Sports Games are a huge celebration for families as well. The Italians know this better than other athletes: 110 AICS team members and friends came to the WSG to Riga, including families with children. The youngest participant is Frida, 6 years of age, with her mother Lilly as her biggest supporter.

Not everybody was quite happy about the weather on the opening day of the 5^th CSIT World Sports Games in Riga. But a female trio from sunny Mexico enjoyed the raindrops. “We will dance in the rain”, they said as representatives of the strong Mexican team with 258 participants. But finally they used an umbrella while dancing for better weather outside the Congress Center in the Latvian capital. But the rain won’t wash away the great spirit of the games anyhow.    

30 Mamanet teams are participating in the 5^th CSIT World Sports Games 2017 in Riga: One each from Latvia, Mexico, Austria, two from Italy and 25 (!) from Israel. But Mamanet is not just a sports discipline based on volleyball rules with slight modifications. It is a mission: “Mothers have become role models for sports and healthy life style”, says Karin Eines, member of the Mamanet Board and in charge of International Relations.

The people of the Latvian capital Riga are looking forward to the 5th CSIT World Sports Games (June 13th - 18th).

CSIT created the "WSG2017-APP for Smartphones" specially for the World Sports Games 2017 in Riga. The APP informs about disciplines, schedule, results, venues, transport and all social and cultural events during the WSG 2017, easy and quick. The WSG2017-APP is available even in the apple store and several stores of android smartphones.

Only a short moment till the opening ceremony of the V. CSIT World Sports Games from 13th to 18th June in Riga, the pulsing capital of Latvia. Riga is ready for the big CSIT family and the Vice Major of Riga, Andris Ameriks, is looking forward to welcoming the big CSIT family with almost 4000 participants from all over the world. It is a long tradition for the Mexican CSIT member-organisation INDET to attend the CSIT World Sports Games.

CSIT President Bruno Molea recently visited Spain for the official presentation of the VI Edition of the CSIT WSG 2019 in Catalonia.

The count-down is running and it´s only a few weeks to go until the opening ceremony for the CSIT World Sports Games 2017 in Latvia.

It´s only a few weeks till the opening ceremony of 5th CSIT World Sports Games (WSG) from 13^th to 18^th June, 2017 in Riga (Latvia).

The City of Tortosa in the Spanish region of Catalonia is host of the CSIT World Sports Games 2019, organized by CSIT member union UCEC – Unió de Consells Esportius de Catalunya. CSIT President Bruno Molea and his assistant Valeria Gherardini recently had the opportunity to visit Tortosa and meet all the important policy-makers of Tortosa and UCEC.

Vice President Palle Thomsen and General Secretary Wolfgang Burghardt attended this world’s premier and most exclusive annual event at the service of sport in Aarhus / Denmark from April 3^rd – 8^th 2017, where more than 1.600 key decision-makers as Presidents and General Secretaries of the global sport were present.

With an overwhelming majority of 99,54 % Bruno Molea was confirmed as President of the Italian CSIT member organisation AICS. It is the third period for Bruno Molea, who was appointed as CSIT President last October after Harald Bauers' resignation.

The CSIT Executive Committee headed by President Bruno Molea thanks the Cypriot member union PASEK and its President Georg Constantinou for the exceptional hospitality and the excellent organization of the CSIT ExCom meeting-days in Cyprus. President Molea hopes that the presence of the CSIT leadership could give PASEK a boost, in particular in view of PASEK’s relationship to the Cypriot sports authorities.

The City of Tortosa in the region of Catalonia is host of the CSIT World Sports Games 2019. The decision was made by the CSIT ExCom during this weeks meeting in Cyprus. The WSG 2019 will be organized by CSIT member union UCEC – Unió de Consells Esportius de Catalunya. CSIT President Bruno Molea informed personally UCEC President Jaume Domingo and congratulated for an excellent application:

Three months before the 5^th CSIT World Sports Games (WSG) from 13^th to 18^th June, 2017 in Riga (Latvia) the CSIT ExCom helds a Co-ordination meeting this week in Cyprus. The President of Cyprus Sport Organization, Kleanthis Georgiades, and Panagiotis Panteli, the representative of the Ministry of Education & Sport, officially welcomed CSIT and its representatives on Thursday.

Less then half a year, not even four months are left, till the opening ceremony for the 5^th CSIT World Sports Games (WSG) from 13^th to 18^th June, 2017 in Riga (Latvia).
